Civil - ICAO Air Traffic Control

There is an ever increasing demand for personnel to be trained throughout the world, and although technology development continues both within the aircraft cockpit and air traffic control centres to assist the controllers' in their day to day tasks, basic simulator and theory modules are still required as the main tool towards trainee controllers gaining the required experience before commencing their unit training.

The BAE Systems Training College provides that initial training requirement, following ICAO Standards and Recommended Practises including the European Content Common Core.

To assist the customer to achieve the best selection of candidates we can provide aptitude testing within country. Courses' from the basic core content through to Area Control using a modern 3D aerodrome simulator, MASE radar consoles, using airspace capable of providing student awareness for transitional control to and from RVSM airspace.

In conjunction with RELTA we are able to provide ICAO Language Proficiency Rating assessments in accordance with ICAO Annexes 1,6,10 and 11.

A full list of courses are listed on the Training Courses page. However, we do not specify specific start dates but try to plan courses as near as possible to the most convenient time for our customers subject to simulator availability.
