Cwmbran College History

Resource Training was originally established as Dundridge College in 1984 in the South West of England primarily to teach Fighter Controllers and Battlespace Managers.

By 1988, its curriculum had been expanded to encompass Air Traffic Control and Electronic Warfare, which together with Air Battle Management remain the three major training areas of the College.   
 

In January 2000, the College relocated to the company offices in Cwmbran, South Wales to a purpose designed facility within the site building complex. The section of the building was equipped with the latest generation of air defence and air traffic control radar simulators and interactive smart board presentation systems in our classrooms. Over 2500 students from more than 45 countries around the world have attended courses at our College.

In 2005 Dundridge College integrated into BAE Systems and due to a rapid expansion program the college relocated to a purpose built facility staying within the Cwmbran area. The new building was equipped with an additional simulator to our electronic warfare training capabilities.

November 2010 saw the college became part of Resource Group and was branded Resource Training. "Dundridge College was a natural acquisition for us as we also operate a flight crew leasing company, EASA Part 147 training company and an aerospace engineering division. The services offered by Dundridge College are world class and helps us to complete our service offering to the Aerospace sector." Paul Martin, Business Services Director.

Resource Training is now headed by Steven Ward as Principal who has been with the college for 7 years; each main department being headed by a department manager. The College also has a support manager who oversees all college operations, together with a simulator manager who oversees all simulator pilot resources and activities.
